After Sheikh Hasina’s ouster as Premier of Bangladesh forcing her to flee her Country and take refuge in India on August 05, 2024 the religious minorities especially Hindus living in that Country are being subjected to systematic targeted attacks and physical violence of every sort ranging from physical assault, brutal killings, looting and burning of their houses, business establishments, desecration and destruction of their temples and places of worship and outraging the modesty of their womenfolk.
The puppet regime installed there by Army with Dr Mohd Yunus acting as Advisor to the Interim Government has so far done nothing to save Hindu minorities from systematic targetting by Muslim radicals who seem to be actually ruling the roost there.
The only thing in which he didn’t loose time to act was in releasing extremist leaders influenced by the outlawed Jamaat-e-Islami group which includes Jashimuddin Rahmani, head of Ansarullah Bangla Team. His release from prison has been raising concerns about safety of religious minorities living there. The Interim Government’s ties to Jamaat-e-Islami speaks a lot about it’s actual agenda to turn erstwhile Progressive Bangladesh into a Radical Islamic Country ie Pakistan 2.0…!!
As a natural reaction and response to their systematic targetting and continued persecution the Bangladeshi Hindus mustered courage to stand united and hold mass protests against the inhuman treatment being meted out to them.
People are taking part in a protest march ‘Hindu Akrosh Rally’ over the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and fled the country amid violent protests over the government’s job quota system, in the walled city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, on August 14, 2024.
One such huge protest came to be witnessed under the banner of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch headed by Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das a former ISKCON Priest in Chittagong. Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested by Police and slapped with sedition charges and presently he is languishing in jail with no bail being granted to him as no advocate has been allowed by Islamist Lawyer’s lobby to appear on his behalf and defend him in Court of Law. One Lawyer Mr Ramen Roy who had earlier dared to appear on his behalf in Court on 26 November was brutally attacked by Muslim radicals at his home as a result of which he suffered grievous injuries and at present he is hospitalized lying in a critical condition in ICU there…!!
Besides Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das thousands of Hindus especially those suspected to have any connection with Awami League Party of Sheikh Hasina or ISKCON are being selectively targeted by Islamist Regime of Yunus and his gang of thugs who roam freely thrashing and beating them on roads publicly… Many have been put behind the bars by Anti Hindu establishment with false cases of serious nature being filed against them…!!
While there’s an uproar everywhere against the inhuman treatment to which Hindus of Bangladesh are being systematically subjected to both within India from Hindu Groups here as well as internationally but sadly at the official level Govt of India is still seen soft peddling this grave issue..!! The fact remains that so far Modi Govt has failed to take any such serious action or measure which would really act as deterent to Islamist regime of Bangladesh headed by Muhammad Yunus forcing them to put an end to targetted attacks and violence of every type being unleashed upon the minority Hindus who are living in constant fear and un-ending persecution there since 1947…!
The atrocities committed upon Bangladeshi Hindus have now turned all time worst.Their present condition is comparable to situation of genocide which they have earlier faced at the hands of Pakistan Army and Civil Administration during 1971 at the time of liberation of East Pakistan and creation of Bangladesh…!!
Sometimes one wonders as to what did Hindus of erstwhile East Pakistan and people of Hindustan get by liberation of that area from Pakistan and creation of Bangladesh as a separate Sovereign Country ….??
While the Hindus living there systematically and continuously underwent a genocidal annihilation with their numbers reducing from 26% in 1971 to around 8% today, India got yet another hostile radical Islamist neighbour to tackle and handle at it’s Eastern Frontier…??
Bangladesh in it’s present Avatar has factually become an all time drain on our precious resources and a pain for ever…!!
